The Damai Primary School Rugby CCA is one of the school’s longest-standing sports CCAs, with a proud tradition of excellence in both character development and sporting achievement. Through the dedication and professionalism of our teachers and coaches, coupled with the commitment and passion of our students, the Damai Dingos have established a strong presence in school rugby and achieved numerous successes in the National School Games over the years.

Rugby offers students more than the opportunity to develop sporting skills. The game nurtures resilience, discipline, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship—qualities that will serve them well throughout their educational journey and beyond. The skills and values acquired through rugby are transferable to many other sports and life experiences, helping our students grow into confident and responsible young individuals.

Our Mascot: The Dingo

The Dingo, an Australian wild dog, is proudly chosen as our team mascot. It represents the core values that guide our players:

National School Games (NSG)

The Damai Dingos train with dedication and determination to compete at the highest levels of the National School Games. Through participation in competitive rugby, students experience the rewards of hard work and perseverance. Every match presents valuable opportunities to learn, whether in victory or defeat, teaching players resilience, emotional management, and a growth mindset.

Our goal is not only to achieve strong results but also to develop athletes who are confident, resilient, and humble.

Direct School Admission (DSA)

Students who demonstrate aptitude, commitment, and passion for rugby may apply through the Direct School Admission (DSA) pathway. Over the years, several Damai Dingos have successfully gained admission to secondary schools with established rugby programmes, enabling them to continue pursuing their passion for the sport.

7.30 a.m. – 9.00 a.m.

(For all members from Primary 3 to Primary 6)

Development Squad Training

Students who demonstrate strong potential may be selected for additional training sessions:

Monday

3.15 p.m. – 5.15 p.m.

Thursday

3.15 p.m. – 5.15 p.m.

Training sessions will not be conducted during school holidays, public holidays, or when school events coincide with the training schedule.
